General Info:
There are seven different types of government within the game. While they do have minor differences in leadership change and in how certain things appear, they do not yet affect general gameplay.
The types of governments and their differences are as follows:
Republic -
Has elections: Yes
Heir selection method: Result of the election (Pseudo-random)
Dictatorship -
Has elections: No
Heir selection method: Pseudo-random
Note - Dictatorships attempt to hide the evidence that other parties can exist by showing that the party in power's influence is "100%", and the user will not know if that has changed in reality.
Federation -
Has elections: Yes
Heir selection method: Result of the election (Pseudo-random)
Autocracy -
Has elections: No
Heir selection method: By birth
Oligarchy -

Heir selection method: Result of the election (Pseudo-random)
Theocracy -
Has elections: No

Monarchy -

Revolt Risk:
A revolt will cause the government of a player nation to automatically change so please be careful and keep an eye on 'Happiness' and 'Revolt Desire'
The general likelihood of a revolt is determined primarily by the current difficulty setting:
Sandbox: 3.07% chance
Easy - 4.6% chance
Medium - 5.4% chance
Hard - 6.3% chance
Note: These are assuming that a player's nation has a revolt desire of 100 at the time. These are the likelihoods at their highest.
